Srinagar, March 06: Abid Qadri, Assistant Registrar and Private Secretary to the Registrar, has taken the charge of Kashmir University’s Public Relations Centre (PRC).
KU spokesman said Qadri has been assigned the job of looking after the affairs of Public Relations Centre in addition to his own duties till further orders vide order No: F(PRO-Gen-Admn) KU/14.
“Meanwhile, Showkat Shafi who was working as Assistant Registrar Public Relations has been relieved from the charges of the Public Relations Centre,” the spokesman said.
The spokesman said that Qadri is a known broadcaster and has been associated with electronic media for more than 28 years.
“He has been associated with Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar as newscaster since 1985 and All India Radio as announcer, anchor, news reader and editor for several years now,” he said.
