Srinagar, August 21: State Congress Chief Prof Saifuddin Soz Tuesday thanked Union Minister of Sports and Youth Services Jatinder Singh for his agreeing to engage the JK youth working as the National Youth Corps (NYC), for another year.
“I also thank General Secretary AICC Incharge JK Ambika Soni who also supported my effort with Government of India. I will, however, continue for two-year extension for the engagement of these youth from NYC. In the meantime, I would request the JK government to devise criteria for engagement of these candidates in various departments, on regular basis,” Soz said in a statement issued here. Pertinently, the youth working under NYC were up in arms demanding regularization in the respective departments where they are serving the government.
