Srinagar: Majlis-e-Mashawarat, an amalgam of various separatist organizations, spearheading the movement to seek return of mortal remains of Muhammad Maqbool Bhat and Muhammad Afzal Guru, on Sunday announced a fresh protest calendar for the coming week.
A MMM spokesman urged people to observe complete shutdown on March 4, Monday. He called for Parigam Chalo in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on March 5, Tuesday. “The chalo call has been given to express solidarity with the family of Mudasir Kamran of Parigam, who was found hanging in the hostel of Hyderabad University,” he added.
On March 6, Wednesday, the spokesman asked the people of Kupwara district to visit the native village of JKLF founder Muhammad Maqbool Bhat at Tregham and asked people of Baramulla and Bandipora districts to visit the residence of Muhammad Afzal Guru at Seer Jageer in Sopore.
He urged the Non Resident Kashmiris to stage pro-freedom protest outside Indian embassies on March 7, Thursday.
On March 8, Friday, the spokesman asked people to stage protests after congregation prayers.
He said on March 9, Saturday, Kashmiris should post the photos of Muhammad Afzal Guru and JKLF founder Muhammad Maqbool Bhat on their Facebook profile and update their status as "Shaheed hamsey yeh keh rahain hain laho hamara bhula na dena".
