Srinagar, Feb 15: Terming as eyewash the Government probe into the recent killing of Ashiq Hussain Rather at Rafiabad in north Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front senior leader Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi alleged that the announcement of probe was made only to put a cover on the killing.
Bakhshi was addressing a condolence meeting at the residence of Shaheed Ashiq Hussain Rather. He was accompanied by Front leaders including Muhamamd Sidiq Shah, Sheikh Muhammad Aslam, Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Prof. Javid, Moulana Muhamamd Yaqoob Rubani, Syed Nisar Jeelani and Abdul Rashid Mughloo.
“This innocent killing has once again proved that there is no value of Kashmiris’ blood in the sight of armed forces and State government. We have seen the fate of all probes made by the armed forces and the state administration in innocent killings like that of Machil victims, Shaheed Nazim Rashid, and others. The armed forces involved in the killings always get away unpunished,” he said.
Bakhshi prayed for the martyred youth and sympathized with his family members.
Meanwhile, Front has condoled the demises of the father of noted doctor Dr Manzoor Halwai, Manzoor Ahmad Sodagar, and Bilal Ahmad of Islamabad (Anantnag).
