Srinagar: Muslim League Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday said the jails and interrogation centres had now become meaningless for its incarcerated naib ameer Masrat Alam Bhat.
“For he is as active and contented in jail as he has been outside the jail,” said the acting Ameer of League, Muhammad Yousuf Mir in a statement on Tuesday, alleging that the government was not presenting Alam before the court for trial.
The ML saluted the valour, determination and steadfastness of Alam and Dr Muhammad Qasim who spent 18 years of life in jails. “Their continued detention is the clear proof of their right and truthful stand,” he said.
