Srinagar: Scores of Kashmiri youth studying at Universal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Punjab today staged a demonstration against the alleged thrashing of a Kashmiri student by seniors at the campus hostel.
In a statement, the youth said, the Kashmiri students boycotted their classes as mark of protest.“The authorities are trying to defend the culprits,” they said.
The students urged the Jammu and Kashmir Government to intervene in the matter and come to their rescue.
