Srinagar: Investigation into the murder of Jamait-e-Ahli Hadees chief Moulvi Showkat Ahmad Shah has been completed and the accused will be chargesheeted soon, Jammu and Kashmir police today said.
"The case has been solved and the accused will be chargesheeted shortly," Director General of Police Kuldeep Khoda told reporters here.
Three persons, including a leader Saut-ul-Haq were arrested for their alleged involvement in Shah''s killing in a bomb blast on April 8 as he was entering a Masjid in Maisuma area of the city to lead Friday prayers.
The arrested persons were president of Saut-ul-Haq Abdul Ghani Dar alias Abdullah Ghazali and his two associates Javed Ahmad Munshi and Nisar Ahmad Khan.
Later, police arrested two more persons in connection with the case.
"The arrested are associated with the conspiracy and the commission of the crime," Khoda said.
