PULWAMA — The District President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, Mohammad Lateef Bhat, alongside General Secretary Mohammad Shafi Wani and Avtar Singh, spearheaded the inaugural "Gaon Chalo Abhiyan" workshop at the Townhall in Pulwama.

During the event, Bhat declared that the campaign would commence on February 7, 2024, and extend for three days, during which dedicated BJP volunteers would embark on visits to every village in Pulwama to engage with residents.

Highlighting the impact of schemes initiated by the Modi-led government at the Centre, particularly on women, Bhat underscored the necessity of ensuring that all eligible individuals receive their entitled benefits.

He urged volunteers to work diligently, especially with parliamentary elections on the horizon, expressing confidence in the BJP's potential to secure a third consecutive term under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Bhat stressed the importance of reaching out to beneficiaries of various government schemes, including the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana for farmers and the Sukanya Yojana for women.

The workshop saw the participation of key party figures, including Youth President Pulwama Rayees Ahmad Dar, Rajpora Constituency President Syed Israr, Constituency President Pulwama Raj Mohammad Wani, IT Incharge Amir Shafi, and Social Media Incharge Ishfaq Ahmad Mir.

Responding to inquiries regarding Arshad Bhat, Bhat noted his absence, stating efforts had been made to include him in the meeting. He expressed disappointment over Arshad Bhat's non-attendance, highlighting the party's anticipation and desire to support him following his affiliation with the BJP.

At the centre of Kashmir
My village resides in
Here, some are very sheer
While some are to thrash tin

I am at this moment
Counting the sorrows and pains
While others at this sentiment
Are to find the personal gains

The streets are mind-blowing
At night, the bulbs are all round
Slowly, slowly faces are glowing
With a perfect technical sound

Being here, I feel cold
Through the air, clouds and the sky
During the winter, my hands are hold
Above the mountains so high!
