Additionally, KABIL, a state-owned joint venture specializing in mineral exploration abroad, is nearing the acquisition of lithium blocks in Argentina. Preliminary discussions are also underway with the Chilean government regarding lithium block acquisition.

India, a significant contributor to global greenhouse gas emissions, has been actively pursuing international agreements to secure essential minerals from resource-rich nations like Australia, Argentina, and Chile.

Officials in Jammu and Kashmir anticipate that the discovery of lithium could significantly boost the local economy and provide employment opportunities for the region's unemployed youth.

Experts highlight that this discovery holds great potential for the socioeconomic development of Jammu and Kashmir and the scientific advancement of the country.
