RAJOURI — A minor lost her life after being hit by a stone in Dandote area of Rajouri district on Saturday.

An official quoted by a local news agency said that a stone slipped from the hilltop of the sliding area at Dandote and hit a pedestrian who died on the spot.

The victim has been identified as Shazia Akhter (13), daughter of Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Dandote in Tehsil Koteranka and died on the spot.

Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and started an investigation into this connection.

SRINAGAR — A 27-year-old man was found dead under suspicious circumstances inside a Tempo Traveller vehicle at Salani Bus Stand Rajouri on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as Mohd Ikhlaq, son of Mohd Sharief Gujjar, a resident of Kanthol Kotranka, Rajouri, was found lifeless in a Tempo Traveller with registration number JK11G 2987, as reported by a local news agency while quoting an unnamed official.

"The mortal remains have been shifted to GMC Rajouri for medico-legal formalities," the official stated, hinting at a potential investigation into the mysterious circumstances surrounding Ikhlaq's death.

RAJOURI — Two back-to-back explosions in the busy Kotranka town of Rajouri district on Saturday spread panic in the area with forces starting massive investigations to find out the cause of blasts.

Officials told news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that two explosions took place in the main market of Kotranka.

"We have launched an investigation but nothing can be stated as of now about the nature of the explosions," police officials said, adding that the area has been cordoned off.

“There was no loss of life or property reported in the explosions,” they said.
