SRINAGAR — In a recent announcement, the Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has set the date for the OMR-based written examination for the post of Supervisor in the Social Welfare Department.

The examination, advertised under Advertisement Notification No. 02 of 2023, will be conducted for District Cadre positions from Item No. 08 to 26. Scheduled tentatively on June 23, 2024, candidates are advised to mark their calendars.

Further details regarding the examination, including the exact dates for downloading admit cards, will be communicated separately in due course of time. This announcement serves as an advance notice for all concerned candidates, ensuring they stay informed about the upcoming examination process.

The syllabus for the examination, previously notified, is provided as Annexure "A" in the notice. Candidates are encouraged to review the syllabus thoroughly to prepare effectively for the examination.

SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Tuesday postponed the annual examination of the 10th standard of Vocational Subjects slated on March 7. The Board said that the vocational examination slated on March 07 in soft zones shall be held on April 4.

According to the news agency KNO, the Director Academics of JKBOSE in a notification said, “In view of unavoidable circumstances, the examination of Vocational Subjects including Agriculture, Apparels, Makeup and Home Furnishing, Automotive, Beauty and Wellness, Health Core, IT & ITES. Physical Education & Sports, Plumbing/Retail, Security, Telecommunication, Tourism and Hospitality, Electronics and Hardware of Secondary School Examination (Class 10th) Session Annual (Regular) 2024 of Soft Zone areas of UT of Jammu & Kashmir, which was scheduled to be held on 07-03-2024 has been postponed and shall be held on 04-04-2024.”

The Board, however, said that the examination of the rest of the subjects scheduled with immediate effect from March 11, 2024 shall be held accordingly as per the date sheet already issued on this behalf.

SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir State Council of Educational Research and Training (JKSCERT) on Saturday rescheduled the annual examination dates for the 8th standard.

According to the news agency KNO, JKSCERT said that the exams in the soft zones will commence from March 13 and will culminate on April 2.

Similarly, the JKSCERT said that the exams in hard zones for the 8th standard will commence from March 26 and will culminate on April 10 respectively.

Earlier, the exam was supposed to be held from March 5.

SRINAGAR — Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) on Friday ordered the cancellation of the OMR-based Objective-type written examination conducted for the posts of Sub-Inspector of Jammu and Kashmir Police.

According to an order, as per the news agency KNO, the decision to cancel the written examination was taken today during a Board meeting.

“The matter was deliberated in the Board in its 206th meeting held on today,” reads the order.

It reads that the OMR-based Objective-type written examination for the post of Sub-Inspector (Police) is hereby cancelled ab initio.

PULWAMA — The Government Degree College Pulwama is going to conduct various Practical examinations for the students of BG 3rd and 4th Semester in the month of April.

In this connection, the college released two notifications on Wednesday concerning (i) Practical/Tutorial Examination for BG 3rd Semester (Regular/Fresh Private) Batch 2020 and Backlog Batch 2016 to 2019, and (ii) Revised Schedule for Practical Examination BSc 4th Semester (Chemistry) - Regular/Backlog.

As per a notification issued by Coordinator Examinations, Govt Degree College Pulwama (No. GDC/PUL/CEC/2022/20; Dated: 30-03-2022), all the heads of the departments/In-charge teachers have been directed to conduct the Practical/Tutorial examination of Regular/Fresh Private candidates of BG 3rd Semester (Batch-2020) and Backlog Batches (2016-19) CBCS with effect from 04-04-2022 (Monday) onwards as per their own convenience.

"However, the final award shall be submitted to College Examination Cell by or before 05-05-2022 (Wednesday) for onward communication to University of Kashmir," the notification said.

However, Fresh Private candidates have been directed to deposit Rs 25 for each paper/subject for the conduct of their tutorial examination.

"Students are advised to contact their respective HODs/concerned teachers for further information regarding the exact date of examination and other queries," the notice said.

Cutoff marks in JKSSB Accounts Assistant (Finance): The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) conducted OMR based objective type written examination for the post of Accounts Assistant (Finance) on Sunday (March 6, 2022) from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm.

The Board had set up 722 examination centres across 19 districts of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

In this connection, the expected cutoff marks in the JKSSB Accounts Assistant (Finance) exam 2022 is as follows:

OM: 92-94

RBA: 84-88

EWS: 80-82

ST: 75 – 78

SC: 74 – 76

Pertinently, JKSSB advertised 972 posts of Accounts Assistant (Finance Department) vide Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2020, under Item No. 106. About two lakh candidates had applied for the aforesaid 972 posts.

The aspiring candidates, who appeared in the examination, have been cautioned against the activities of vested interests and advised not to fall prey to the designs of such unscrupulous elements.

The candidates, who are being approached by such unscrupulous elements in any matter pertaining to recruitments of JKSSB, are advised to immediately report about such persons to the JKSSB without any delay.

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) conducted the OMR Based Objective Type Written Examination for the posts of Accounts Assistant (Finance Department), UT Cadre advertised vide Advertisement Notification No 04 of 2020, Under Item No 106 on 06th of March 2022(Sunday).

The Answer Keys of the four series of question booklets are hereby displayed/ uploaded for information of all concerned as Annexure “A” of this notice. The candidates can submit their objections/representations in respect of any question/answer (if any) and upload the same, along-with documentary evidence/ reference through the online link available on the website of the Board i.e www.jkssb.nic.in from 07th of
March 2022 to 09th of March 2022.

Objections /representations through any other means and after due date shall not be entertained.

SRINAGAR — The SKIMS Medical College and Hospital Bemina Srinagar is conducting the written test for the engagement of Nurses on a contractual basis, the notification of which was advertised vide Notification No. 01 SKIMS-MCH of 2021; Dated: 18-09-2021.

A notification, issued in this connection by the Institute, reads, "It is notified for information of all the candidates who have applied for the post of Nurse on contractual basis for Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) at SKIMS Medical College, Bemina advertised vide Notice No. 01 SKIMS MCH of 2021; dated 18.09.2021 that their written test (Objective Type) shall be held on 13th March 2022 at 11:00 AM at Govt Polytechnic for Women, Bernina Srinagar."

The candidates have been directed to report one hour before to the examination venue. No TA/DA shall be paid for participation in the written test.

The list of eligible candidates for the post of Nurse is available on the official website of SKIMS Medical College, Bemina.

The eligible candidates for the aforementioned posts have been advised to visit the aforementioned website from 08-03-2022 at 1:00 PM to download the Roll No. slips/Admit Cards or they can collect their Admit Card from the Department of Psychiatry, SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bemina.

No candidate, as per the Institute, shall be allowed to sit in the examination hall without Roll No. Slip/Admit Card.

The examination will be of 60 minutes duration with 50 objective multiple choice questions and a merit list shall be drawn accordingly. There will be no negative marking.

The candidates appearing in the written test have been directed not to carry any electronic gadgets such as calculators, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, scanning devices, pagers, headphones, earplugs, iPad, tablets, PC or any other computing/communication devices into the written-test venue. Instead, the candidates have been directed to bring cardboard, blue/black ballpoint pens with them.

While clarifying, SKIMS Bemina has said that one post of Nurse has been withdrawn by National Co-ordinator, Addiction Treatment Facility (ATF) Scheme, as such, only five posts of Nurse instead of six shall be engaged purely on the basis of merit secured by the candidate in the Written Examination (Objective-type).

"In case of any additional post is sanctioned by the National Co-ordinator, the same shall be filled as per merit already finalized," the notification said.
