“Never wait for anyone to queue you into your greatness”, is one of the most significant lessons Aisha Saintiche believes that she can impart to someone. For many years, Aisha believed that her personal life, professional life, her purpose and ability to perform were based on other people’s perceptions of her and that their recognition held greater value than her own. Through her personal challenges and triumphs, she came to the realization that it has always been her choice and path and power to determine and not anyone else’s.

Initially, the creation of ‘Me to Moi Health’ was to work with women who sought empowerment and were ready to make themselves and their lives a priority. While that remains deeply rooted in the foundation of her work, ‘Me to Moi Health’ has organically and beautifully become so much more than a one-to-one coaching business. It is a mindset, a vibe, an affirmation curated through thoughtful and impactful keynotes, workshops, facilitated sessions, women’s circles and one-to-one interactions set to transform people into both the desired and elevated selves.  

Self-doubt, like many, has played a part in some of the challenges she faced in her life. Her successes are greatly attributed to the endless support of her family and friends and her own belief that she possesses both the capacity and ability to succeed as a driving force in the coaching space. Aisha is a strong advocate of hard work and doesn’t believe much in luck. For her, things happen eventually when it’s time for things to happen. An interesting take about the rat race that comes from Aisha Saintiche is that even though she believes that she is tigerish in nature, the rat race acts as great motivation for her. The hustle and ability to do better than she already has is something that helps her to reach her highest level and provides her instinct to do better, try harder, dig deeper and explore whilst moving forward with no matter failure or success. “The truth is what the result has been, affirms the importance of having an “I can” and “I will” mentality.”

Despite her numerous personal and professional achievements, Aisha believes that becoming a published author is the cherry on the cake. She is a leadership coach for the Canadian Olympic Committee and claims that completing her Master’s in Public Policy, Administration and Law while she was pregnant has been an immense achievement which also required complete support from her partner.

True leadership is recognizing that a person’s title is not the determination of impact and influence. Their willingness to impart passion, power and insight into elevating others to be the greatest version of themselves is where leadership lies for Aisha, which in turn means that people should seek to create more leaders no matter how nice it is to have followers.

At an age when youngsters can’t look beyond their next adventure, young Edi Matsumoto travelled from her native Japan to volunteer at the Mother Theresa’s Home for Dying Destitute in Kolkata, India. Still in her 20’s, she decided that she wanted to work in health care and moved to the U.S. to become a nurse practitioner/ health and wellness coach. 

After 30 years of working in clinics and hospitals across the United States, Edi retired from her hospital to start a new creative life in art as well as coaching. she shared,

 “I started as a health coach in my hospital. After taking a spiritual course in 2015, I became one of its facilitators. At about the same time, I went back to school to study art and earned a Master’s degree in Visual Art. Finding that many fellow healthcare professionals were burned out and stressed, I explored various ways to reduce stress and maximize mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. I launched a coaching business to help burned-out professionals reevaluate their lives and shift their paradigm toward a more fulfilled life and career. I often used art to help people get unstuck and express themselves.”

Edi’s maternal great-grandfather was a traditional Japanese artist who painted birds, flowers and snow-capped mountains using an ink brush technique. Thus her interest in art was cultivated at a young age, something that reaped rewards in adult life. “While I worked for hospitals and clinics, I often felt that I was in a rat race. I worked hard and was productive. As a result, I could retire and devote my time to my art and coaching business,” she adds.

Edi Matsumotois the creator of the Satori Method based on 30 years of healthcare, coaching and spiritual experience. Satori is a word for awakening or enlightenment in Japanese. Unlike the traditional spiritual methods in which one devotes decades to one discipline, she combines positive psychology, meditation, the law of attraction, theory, practicum, and modern technology, all in one program, to meet individual needs.

In addition to art and coaching, Edi also launched a third business recently – empowering wearable art. Speaking about her endeavors, she told us, “I enjoy working with spiritual and artistic people who want to improve their professional and personal lives. I use positive psychology, meditation, breathing, art, and other modalities to support them. My paintings and wearable art are created with empowerment in mind by using symbols, representation, and healing colors. I don’t fit in one category because I love doing all of these and this is who I am.”

Edi is especially passionate about supporting women to find the freedom to express and pursue their dreams. “I want to share what I have learned from my mentors (from my third-grade teacher, local business coaches, and Tony Robbins to Mother Teresa) – each of us can learn to shift our mindset to be the best version of ourselves and create the best life possible. I want to pass on the wisdom I have acquired in a fun and beautiful way by using my coaching and art skills. Jay Hira is globally recognised as a leading voice of cyber security. Jay considers himself a lifelong learner and advocates for diversity and collaboration to fuel innovation, which supports solving the complex cyber security puzzle.

Jay is currently operating as a Cyber Security Strategy and Transformation Director. He supports financial services organizations to become more cyber resilient by adopting the Zero Trust principles to build trust and attract more customers, enabling growth.

Cyber security was a natural fit, due to the constant flux of change, the need to adapt quickly, the continuous learning, and ultimately the need for change in the industry to support innovation. Jay describes cybersecurity as a game of chess, only more complex and with more players. The key to success in chess is to protect the central piece. Similarly, cyber security involves protecting data and intellectual property with layers of protection with complementary functions. 

Jay firmly believes that industry and cross-industry collaboration needs to be incentivized by policymakers and regulators to enforce a safer ecosystem. In the absence of that, we’re fighting an unfair fight protecting our own silos while the threat actors continue to collaborate and innovate at a much faster pace.

Jay cares deeply about effecting change in the workplace. He has been very strategic and proactive with his career moves, seeking opportunities to broaden his skill set. The more he learns, the more he shares; this has made him a leading voice in cyber security.

Jay advocates for DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) and employee wellbeing. Jay is constantly pushing to encourage STEM education in schools and bring more diversity into the cyber security workforce. He explains that there is a need to educate the next generation of cyber heroes, as young as five, on the good and bad actors of the cyber world. He feels strongly that we must teach them simple tips on protecting their identity from cyber villains such as bullies, scammers and fakers. When we teach our youngsters to protect themselves and advocate for others, we teach them to become leaders.

Jay co-created the Sandbox for Education program, where Uni students get an opportunity to co-design solutions alongside cyber security practitioners for relevant industry problems. The course provides students with practical tips on thinking quickly on their feet and supports their smoother transition from University into the cyber security workforce.

Jay has taken this a step further with his non-profit, MakeCyberSimple, which aims to do the following:

• Provide education and opportunities for young people interested in pursuing a career in cyber security.
• Support Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in their efforts to get the basics right in terms of cyber hygiene. 
• Be a conduit between students who want to solve cyber security challenges and SMBs, those that can’t afford the full-time staff or consultants but still need support with getting the basics of security right.
• Work with schools and teach kids how to stay cyber safe.

Having visited more than 55 countries and living in many such as Nigeria, Switzerland, Belgium, and Syria, Taisia Slobodjaniuk pioneered what she calls ‘Expat Psychology’. Today, she has her own international psychological practice at the Hague in Netherlands and Switzerland, called Geneva Expat Psychology, through which she offers high-quality support to people who live far away from home. 

“The idea of this practice was born shortly after I arrived in the Netherlands. I was surprised to hear from fellow Dutch psychologists that there’s no practice to help expats specifically. I felt that as an expat myself, it would be a perfect opportunity to build a service that helps expats to face their challenges.

At Expat Psychologist, we offer support not only to the expat community but also to their spouses and children. Our client circle includes ambassadors, international students, people who are working for international companies, NGO’s or UN-umbrella companies. Our clients come from many different backgrounds with even more versatile stories and all sorts of challenges. Our goal is to always be there for our expat community – so they know that help is readily available to them whenever they need it,” says Taisia.

Growing up in an orphanage, Taisia was aware that she’d been dealt a different set of cards in life. Thus she was determined from a young age to fight her circumstances and come out on top as a winner, and to experience all the beauty that the world had to offer. She studied Psychology, completed her MBA, and focussed on her dream of travelling the world. 

“Since I can remember, I was always a very curious kid who loved exploring! This strong sense of curiosity and ‘wanderlust’ directed my whole life, and as soon as possible, I started to travel and met incredible people from all over the world. Living such a life also brought a diverse set of challenges, such as being uprooted from familiarity, a sense of isolation, and the need for connection – all of which I observed within other expats who moved to a new country,” recalls Taisia.

Besides the challenges, living around the world also fueled her passion to help others. For instance, discussing mental health with Nigerian soldiers and finding ways to assist them in improving their lives was a pivotal moment wherein Taisia knew this was what she wanted to do. Her goal now is to create opportunities and make support accessible for people like the staff in Nigeria; to seek help whenever they need it without any shame or guilt for learning how to take care of themselves.

How does she manage all the challenges along the way, we ask her. Establishing a life in the Netherlands brought several challenges throughout the last decade since she began living there, says Taisia: “In the beginning, we, expats, were almost like guests here in the Netherlands. So I had to adjust myself and the practice to the new surroundings, which includes getting to know the locals and getting familiar with the Dutch language, which is a challenge. As all cultures and countries, the Netherlands also has those subtle unwritten rules that dictate not only everyday life but also work environment. So it was an interesting challenge to see how I could establish and manage a team in a new country, where both local mentality and my own aspirations could work together in harmony.”

As talk turns to harmony, Taisia shares her thoughts on mental health: “Through my travels and experience being an expat, I have seen many views on mental health. The message I want to get out there to anyone reading is that seeking help is brave. With an infectious personality, positive mindset and an unflinching zeal for achieving her goals, AnaMaria Meshkurti is a true leader and is currently the Head of Marketing, Communications and Engagement at Fongit. She is a role model having worked with organizations like the United Nations for more than 8 years where she was in an instrumental position and she gave back to the countries she was engaged with. She created the first incubator programme for startups in Developing Countries that primarily focused on innovative technologies and standardization. She is also the incoming curator of the WEF Geneva Global Shapers Hub.

The organization she works at is the Fongit, the Geneva Foundation for Technology Innovation which operates as an incubator and innovation platform for about 100 startups and is completely funded by the State of Geneva. The foundation channelizes positive economic and social growth. Her passion for technology and innovation along with a fast-paced environment has culminated in her being involved heavily in startups and tech. She also sits on the Board of VR4Business.ch and Secondworld.ch, which are both virtual reality companies focused on VR gaming.

In her illustrious career, AnaMaria has received the International Telecommunication Union Staff Awards in the categories of innovation and teamwork. She also continued to be the chapter leader for more than 2 years of the Hult International Business School Alumni association through which she was able to give back to the community of her University.

She shares that her journey flowed with positivity in each fragment and has overcome many hurdles with the powerful weapon of having a positive mindset. She says, “I have noticed that when we manifest positivity and good energy we are able to achieve great things. In addition, I have always believed that hard work does indeed pay off in the end, even though sometimes things may look or feel unfair. It is important to stay the course in order to achieve your goals and put in the work needed.”

Based in Geneva, Switzerland, she is also extremely driven to play a role in the upliftment of the community and this prompted her to be a part of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community. She reflects, “With this community, we are able as a group of dedicated volunteers to create and implement projects of a different scale to ensure that we support those vulnerable groups in the city of Geneva but more widely in the Geneva lake region”

AnaMaria is a firm believer in diligence and feels that the effort one puts into their work proportionately reflects in the end result. She had to face challenges but she took it in her stride and did not let herself get dissuaded from her goals. She says, “I have tried to never pay attention when it comes to what others around me are achieving, as our goals and aims differ.”

She reveals that her family is her source of inspiration especially her mother who she feels is a very strong woman and has done many sacrifices for her and her brother providing them with the tools to succeed. Her mother’s positive attitude and terrific spirit have influenced the same philosophy which AnaMaria leads her life with.

For her, the question of being in the rat race or being a tiger is a difficult one. She believes that everyone should be responsible for their future and goals and take any challenges head-on. She says “If I were to have a choice, of course I would choose to be a tiger. Fend for myself and be my own boss, however at times we need to be part of the so-called “rat race” to change the system from within”

Dr Kim R. Grimes is someone who has mastered this art and makes use of it to achieve the impossible. Over the last thirty years, Dr Kim Grimes has fallen love with herself. Believe it or not, in her first attempt, she performed 193 different poses and was not successful as per norms, but in her second attempt, she was able to prove her hidden potential in yoga by performing 230 yoga poses in 20 minutes and grabbing the world record title.

Isabelle Nuessli was born to business leadership. She grew up in a vast 600-year-old flour mill near Zurich, Switzerland, into a 5-generation family business. From a young age, she was inspired by engaging with people and growing businesses.

Carlos was born in an upper-middle-class family in Portugal; his mother is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and his father is a successful businessman in the automobile industry. He found early inspiration in his father, who is good at managing money, but even better at managing people.

After completing his schooling, Carlos opted to study Economics at Lisbon University, where he was the ‘Top Student’ awardee from 2012-14. While pursuing his Masters, he also began to take classes at the University and created his first private company, wherein he made his first million. In 2015 however, he lost everything when he made wrong investments and was subject to many scams.

As someone who advises leading financial institutions today, how did Carlos map his recovery? He says his first goal was trying to guarantee that you could model the financial markets without losses through his proprietary algorithm, which alerts in line with ‘enter and exit positions’ in the commodities, currency, bonds, futures and share markets.

He then started allocating part of the trading profits to project financing for long-term investments with fixed returns. His aim was to bring capital to sectors overlooked by other financial entities. For instance, why would someone not invest in South Africa, Laos, Swaziland or Brazil? He concurred that the macroeconomic and operational risk related to such entities was the reason.

He counts teaching among his most proud achievements. “I had the honour and pleasure to have the rule of Professor at Lisbon School of Economics and Management (ISEG) of University of Lisbon where I lecture Microeconomics I and II, Macroeconomics I and II, Evaluation Projects, Corporate Finance and Seminary,” says the versatile Carlos Santos. 

The Tiruchirappalli District Administration managed to execute an event titled “Our Trichy! Our Chess! Our Pride! on account of celebrating the 44^th FIDE International Chess Olympiad to be held at Chennai late this month. The District Administration was able to assemble 2140 school students on July 16, 2022, at Campion Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, where in Ms K.Jennitha Anto, Women International Chess Master handled the Chess Lesson for 2140 participants. This feat has earned the District a place in Elite World Records, Asian Records Academy, India Records Academy and Tamilan Book of Records for the title “Most Participants in a Chess Lesson (Single Location)”.

According to the District Collector M.Pradeep Kumar, with a sincere commitment to educate and impart knowledge of Chess in young minds, we have organized a massive event on July 16, 2022, in which 2140 students from 19 different Government Schools, Government Aided Schools, and Private Schools participated. The aim behind the initiative was to fulfil the mission and vision of Honourable Chief Minister of TamilNadu, Shri M.K.Stalin to create awareness on Importance of learning and playing chess among students.

Started with the guidance of Honourable Minister for Municipal Administration Mr. K.N. Nehru and Honourable Minister for School Education Mr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, the event soon caught the attention of many as the event progressed with daily monitoring. This event was organised in order to grab the public attention on the 44^th FIDE International Chess Olympiad which is scheduled in Tamil Nadu for the first time in the Indian history, he further pointed out.

With the guidance of Dr. V. Irai Anbu, Chief Secretary to Government of TamilNadu, we at Tiruchirappalli District created a new world record in the category “Most Participants in a Chess Lesson” surpassing the existing world record set by Ukraine with 1496 participants.

K.N. Nehru, Honourable Minister pointed out the sincere efforts of District Collector, starting from the awareness created on learning Chess and executing this event, I am sure that this project has motivated lot of young minds to practice playing chess regularly. Due to meticulous planning and proper execution, this project has found a place for the district in entering Elite World Records, he concluded.

Jennitha Anto, International Women Chess Master, conveyed her gratitude to Honourable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for Conducting the 44^th International Chess Olympiad in Chennai which is first of its kind in the history of our country. She also thanked Honourable Ministers and District Collector for giving her an opportunity as a trainer to educate 2140 Students. This record attempt has ignited the young minds and motivated them to learn and play chess, I am expecting more National and International Grand Masters from TamilNadu and this event has given a foundation to many students on their dreams for becoming grandmasters in chess, said Dr. K. Researchers found evidence that the chess game, which challenges memory, calculation, visual-spatial skills and critical thinking abilities is loved by all ages all over the world. Initiative on organising events like this by the Government is really remarkable and I am sure this project has given a motivation to young children to play chess, said Dr. A.K. Senthil Kumar, Ambassador, Asian Records Academy.

This Visionary Project executed by the District Administration of Tiruchirappalli will be an everlasting asset to the State and that such events will visualize more Chess Grand Masters from Tamil Nadu, said P.Jeganathan,Senior Records Manager, India Records Academy.
