SRINAGAR — In the annual regular results of Class 12th examination declared earlier this evening, two students who have secured first position in Arts and Commerce stream are from government schools while one student, who has topped in Science stream, is from a private school.

According to the news agency KNO, among the toppers of government schools include Irtiza Manzoor of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Zaribal who has secured first position in Commerce stream.

Similarly, Mahveen Wani of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Amira Kadal has topped in the Arts stream.

Likewise, Shahid Bashir of Fayaz Educational Institute Nowgam has secured first position in Science stream.

SRINAGAR — The J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE) on Friday announced annual regular exam results of 12th standard with an overall pass percentage of 65 percent.

The news agency KNO has learnt that the girl students yet again outshined boys in the exams.

According to JKBOSE, the total pass percentage includes 61 percent in boys and 68 percent among girls students.

JKBOSE said that a total of 1,27,636 candidates were enrolled for the exams of which 82,441 successfully qualified.

SRINAGAR — The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department on Thursday said that it will declare the results of the annual regular exams of 10th and 12th standard by the second week of June.

According to the news agency KNO, Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Alok Kumar said, “By the second week of June, we will announce results of 10th and 12th standard exams in accordance with the timeline we have set.”

He said, “As we have conducted exams this year in sync with the national academic calendar, results have been compiled and will be announced soon.”

The annual board exams of classes 10th to 12th in hard zones were conducted from April 8. Pertinently, the JKBOSE had identified 444 such schools in both divisions of Jammu and Kashmir for which annual regular examinations were held in the month of April instead of March.

Besides, the Board has also declared the whole Leh district of Union Territory of Ladakh as a hard zone and had accordingly directed to conduct the exams in the month of April. It had also said that the annual regular examination of hard zones or such areas of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh shall be held in the month of April.

“Result of annual regular examination of Kashmir Division and Jammu division and Union territory of Ladakh including hard zones shall be declared simultaneously in the month of June,” JKBOSE has said in a notification.

This is for the first time that JKBOSE conducted exams in March-April sessions instead of November-December.

Speaking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Chairman of the Board, Dr Parikshat Singh Manhas said, “Several news that are making rounds on social media and other platforms regarding the results are just rumors and I suggest students and parents not to pay heed to them.”

Manhas also said that JKBOSE was still in the process of preparing the results.

“I am not in a position to give any kind of data or details as to when we will be declaring the results of annual regular exams of 10th and 12th standard but as of now we have not officially announced the date for the declaration of results for both 10th and 12th standard,” he said.

According to the official, the results for Class 11th will follow the announcement of the Class 10th results, in accordance with the JKBOSE academic calendar.

This marks a significant milestone for the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, as it will be the first time that the JKBOSE declares the results of the 10th, 11th, and 12th standards for both divisions of Jammu and Kashmir at the UT level.

In the hard zones of the Kashmir valley, a substantial number of candidates appeared in the annual regular JKBOSE examinations across various standards. Notably, 63,543 students participated in the 10th standard exams, while 67,456 and 67,433 students appeared for the 11th and 12th standard examinations, respectively.

For the hard zones of the Kashmir division, the numbers stood at 3,975 candidates for the 10th standard, 3,816 candidates for the 11th standard, and 3,761 candidates for the 12th standard annual regular examinations. Provisional admissions prior to JKBOSE Class 12th results 2023
