New Delhi: Lenovo A536, which comes with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, has been launched in India for Rs 8,999. Lenovo A536 is available in black and white color options.
The Lenovo A536 has a 5 inch display with capacitive touchscreen with 854x480 pixels resolution. "The smartphone also comes with non-slip grip on the sides of the phone for better ergonomics and Lenovo's proprietary "DOit apps” that lets you share, secure and sync your information seamlessly,” claimed Lenovo. However, it is quiet thick and bulky - 9.95 mm thick and 148 grams weight.
The phone is though based Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and has the 1.3 GHz Mediatek MT6582 quad core processor. To help the processor run the operating system, the Lenovo A536 is armed with 1 GB RAM. In addition, it offers 8GB of internal memory and a micro SD slot for expandable storage up to 32 GB.
Besides, the Lenovo A536 has a 5 megapixel rear camera with flash and a 2 megapixel front snapper. This smartphone comes with HSPA+ for fast data transfer. It also sports dual-SIM capability along with 3G, WLAN, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.0. The Lenovo A536 is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery that claims to offer 12 hours of 3G talktime and 12.5 days of standby. It has FM and A-GPS as well.
At Rs 8,999, the Lenovo A536 will have tough time attracting buyers as it has some good opponents like Asus Zenfone 4, Motorola Moto E, and the new Redmi 1S.
