Srinagar: A Pandit body, Kashmir Pandit Sangarsh Samiti (KPSS) Thursday strongly condemned the firing incidents that took place in Handwara in which four persons got killed including a lady.
“This is really unfortunate that these gruesome incidents are engineered to meet the vicious political agenda. It seems that few persons in Kashmir Valley want to de-stablize the state on the instructions from their masters and for that common masses are used as a tool to achieve the goal,” KPSS president Sanjay Tickoo said in a statement issued this afternoon.
“The loss of lives cannot be compensated by any means, and the loss is irreparable. Armed forces, being disciplined and experienced, should show some restraint while dealing with aggressive mob situations. Such kind of reactions will in no way help improve the situation in the Valley,” the statement added.
KPSS urged Government of India to issue fresh advisory to the forces under their control and command to maintain restraint while dealing with law and order issues in the Valley.
“KPSS also urges State Government to do a time-bound probe through an independent agency involving members jointly from unionist and separatist factions as soon as possible and fix the responsibility so that the guilty is punished,” the statement said.
