BARAMULLA — A gunfight broke out between security forces and militants in Binner area of Baramulla district on Saturday evening.
A senior police officer, as per news agency KNO, said that the gunfight broke out after forces launched a search operation in the area.
"Encounter has started at Binner area of Baramulla. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow," informed Kashmir Police Zone in a tweet soon after the gunfight.
Earlier today, a newly recruited Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant was killed in a gunfight in Wanigam Bala area of Baramulla district.
